Swift paws, icey blue eyes, a timber wolf crested the Savanna Pack. His cranium swung to and fro, looking for something yet to be named. His pelt was brown, with shocking markings of a lilac purple color. It was easy to see he was unusual, and should be approached with caution. He padded down the hill and reached the base, sniffing for members. Finally he raised his cranium to the sky. He released a howl, not a mournful one, but one beckoning others to greet him, to ease the lonely life of a Varg. Of course, this wolven, Marius they called him, was not exactly pack material. But he was good for an intelligent chat now and then.

"Is there any water here..? No, didn't think so." Grumbled a purple wolf, swishing her long webbed tail behind her. The merwolf sighed, wistfully looking at the sky. "I wish it would rain.." She murmured, before hearing the howl. She promptly replied back, hoping that whoever it was could guide her to water. She was aching for a swim.

Marius perked his ears forward, catching the tune of another wolf. It seemed to be female by the higher pitch. Swiftly, he trotted towards the noise, hoping to find the Alphess or Betess or something like that. At last, he came upon a she-wolf, but not at all what he was expecting. The wolf was definately a demon of some sort. He himself was only half, and he rarely used any powers at all, and usually never remembered them unless in a dire situation. He paused and scanend her further with his icey gaze before her spoke at last.
"Hello there." he said. His voice was low and suprisingly handsome, mature, and plain elegant for such a spidley, thin wolf.

Kaamier narrowed her eyes and glared at this male. "Oh, joy. I was hoping it was a female who could direct me to water." She said, her voice cold. "Go stuff yourself, twig. Gain some weight. I don't want you to get stuck in the ground," she said, swishing he aquatic tail behing her. "I know you think I'm a demon. I'm not. Deal with it."

"Thats not very polite" he exclaimed, though seemed unrussled despite a mild flick of his left ear. His icey eyes seemed to glow a little, however, despite himself. Like all in his family, they had a warning sign. For example, his slightly younger brother Loki has his fur stand on end, which meant that he was preparing for battle. Marius's eyes would glow brightly, hinting at powers resting inside him that were being angered at such rudeness. What happened to common curtesy?
"Honestly..." he said, trailing off and saying no more.

"Well guess what? I. DON'T. CARE. Happy? d**n it's so dry here..." Kaamier said, growling at the sky. "No water around for miles..." She rose the webbed spikes on her back, and sighed. Nope, no water around. She dug her claws into the ground, slightly surprised to feel moisture around them.

"Ah. So you want water. I'm afraid I can't help you with that. However..." he paused, looking at his overly long and sharp claws. The ground was growing frostbite blue. This chill trickled and spread, freezing a killing nearby flowers. Marius was no mere stick. He had powers, indeed. Though, he suprised himself by letting himself get carried away so.

The water sent a shiver up Kaamier's spine, and she sighed happily. Odd for one so cold. She used one paw to scoop up the earth, and water pooled in. She promptly began to dig, and before long, had a pool deep enough to swim in. With one step into the water, she was gone, only to re-appear above the surface, refreshed and smiling. She looked like an angel when she did so.

"I see you're happier" he commented, sitting on his haunches and grooming his paws, controlling his sole power. Marius was pretty aloof and not the most popular of wolves, although he had somewhat more constraint when tested with emotions. It was his slight amount of cheek that usually made some resent him. But Marius was a good wolf at heart and those who got past his flaws were delighted at his generous personality.

Kaamier nodded, before grinning at him. "I'm known as Kaamier. Sorry for being rude." She blushed, and rubbed the back of her head with a paw. "I seem to have... an alter ego when I'm out of the water." She propped her elbows on the edge of the 'pool.'

"Pleased to meet you, Kaamier. I'm Marius. Charmed, I'm sure. I hope we can have a friendship, if the higher wolf here would grant me residence here." he said quietly, gazing at the merwolf. A slight chill went up his spine, for this odd appearence was new and someone frightening, but very alluring just the same. Though he wouldn't admit it to himself, of course.

Kaamier met his eyes with her own violet ones, amusement apparent in them. "Albeit afraid, are we? Don't worry; I don't attack much." She laughed softly-- it was a wonderful sound, coming from a merwolf.

Like the sailor to the siren, he hesitated before walking forward, rising to his violet mitted paws and padding closely, his ice eyes flickering around before resting on the merwolf once more. "Ah. Well. You do live here. Right?" he said, trying to start up a better conversation. They always said first impressions could be misleading. Right now he was totally bewildered about Kaamier.

She shook her head. "No," she said, dabbing her claw in the water, making ripples. "I am a traveling healer. I never stay in one place for long unless I have a good reason."

"I see" he said, blinking. "I used to be a lone wolf. But sometimes it gets a little too lonely out there, for me. Some resent my abilitys and appearence. But I'm just waiting to find someplace that will welcome them. Surely, even you must feel alone sometimes in your travels? Some wolves go mad out there without company."

Kaamier nodded, then grinned. "Sure I get lonely, but I have my alter ego to keep me company, and there are my memories. I never forget anyone. Part of being a mer-wolf. Then there's you, keeping me company right now. Then there's that one depressing fact that I'm the last of my kind, besides the Maylin godess."

"I've never met a merwolf before. This must be the reason, I suppose" he said, glancing at the sky. Marius had been a wanderer for quite awhile. It made him feel slightly awkward to talk to someone so...different on his second attempt at venturing into the social world once more. His brief encounter with Kiara and one of her wolves hadn't been much interesting since they were a little...mopey. But Kaamier seemed quite entertaining indeed.

As if sensing his thoughts, Kaamier immediatly put in, "I've never seen a land wolf before though. I just go around healing other animals, like deer and birds." She blushed, dipping her face in the water. She re-emerged, sopping wet.

He blinked and smiled. "Well, I'm not exactly the most normal of 'land wolves' you'll meet. Purple isn't really a popular color in us, you see." He hadn't expected her not to talk with land wolves. Surely, she must of been quite alone, what with being the last two of her kind and not talking to any 'land wolves'.

"I'm purple, and so are you. How come it's not popular among land wolves? It was unique in mer-wolves...." She looked up at the night sky, and frowned. "You're the first land-wolf I've ever seen. My alter has seen more than I have. Far more. She talks to me in dreams, and I hate her personality."
